The Tulsa Oilers ended the 2008 portion of their schedule suffering a 5-2 road loss to the Wichita Thunder Wednesday night.

Jake Riddle had both goals for the Oilers. Brad Thompson scored twice for Wichita. Joel Hanson, Bryan Nathe and Matt Byrnes also scored for the Thunder, which blew open a 3-2 game by scoring two goals in a 39 second span, with just less than six minutes to play.

The Oilers start the new year playing the new team in the CHL, visiting the Rapid City Rush Friday and Saturday. Both games can begin at 8:05 p.m. and can be heard at www.tulsaoilers.com.
