Oilers Maintain Historic Title Feat
The Rapid City Rush ended the Allen Americans bid to equal the Oilers’ feat with a 4-3 double overtime victory Tuesday night in Rapid City. The win gives the Rush the Ray Miron President’s Cup four games to two.Only one other CHL team, the Indianapolis Ice, won the league championship in its first season in the CHL in 1999-2000. The Oilers had the second highest point total increase in the CHL this season under head coach Bruce Ramsay, who was in his first season with the Oilers. They will have 32 home games at the BOK Center in the 2010-11 season.
