Brahmas Top Oilers, 5-2

A quick start wasn’t enough for the Tulsa Oilers as they fell to the Texas Brahmas 5-2 Sunday in Texas.

Jeff Gumaer opened the scoring in the first two minutes for the Oilers but Tyler Skworchinski evened it at 8:50 just a little over a minute after Texas coach Dan Wildfong called his timeout.

The Oilers got back on top as T.J. Caig scored just as he finished serving a penalty. Before the first period ended Skworchinski scored his second goal of the game.

Texas got second period goals from Ross Rouleau, and Kevin McLeod and a third period goal from Jordan Cameron, who also had three assists on the game.

The Oilers return home Tuesday night to play the Wichita Thunder at 7:05 in the make up game from Christmas night. Tickets from December 25th will be honored Tuesday or any other regular season home game.
