Radio Personality Mary Moore To Host Oilers Watch Parties
TULSA, OK – The Tulsa Oilers are pleased to announce that local radio personality Mary Moore will serve as emcee and host for the Oilers watch parties at Gusano’s Chicago-Style Pizzeria located at 9999 S. Mingo Road in South Tulsa.
Moore works for Clearchannel Radio here in Tulsa and has plenty of experience as a spokesperson for local sports teams. The Bartlesville High School graduate has emceed and hosted in-game promotions for the Tulsa Drillers, Tulsa Shock, and the University of Tulsa men’s basketball program.
Growing up in Illinois, Moore remembers falling in love with hockey by watching the Quad City River Bandits and never missing an opportunity to pound on the glass.
“I’ve always had soft spot for hockey,” said Moore. “Growing up and going to games with my dad made it feel like more than just a sport I enjoyed watching. I guess to me, going to a game, feels like going home.”
Moore will be on the mic at Gusano’s and will use her energy and enthusiasm to make every watch party as interactive and as entertaining as possible for every Oilers fan. Moore’s duties will include asking trivia questions, announcing goals, and giving away prizes in addition to promoting special ticket discounts and offers from Oilers sponsors.
“My hope is that our watch parties will be like a big family reunion every week,” Moore said. “We’re at a pizza joint, watching a hockey game with fellow fans, who wouldn’t want to be a part of that?”
The first watch party is only a few days away as the Oilers open the 2012-13 regular season against the Wichita Thunder on Saturday, October 20 at 7:05 p.m. The Oilers would like to invite all fans to come meet Mary Moore, enjoy the fantastic Gusano’s pizza, and cheer the Oilers on to their first victory of the season!
