Oilers Fall, 6-2
Three goals in a little over a minute early in the second period led the Colorado Eagles to a 6-2 win over the Tulsa Oilers Wednesday night in Colorado. Chris Hartsburg had the only goal of the first period, but Colorado pushed its lead to 4-0 when Ed Magrane, Hartsburg and Steve Haddon all scored in the first 2:10 of the second period. Oilers coach Butch Kaebel called his time out and the Oilers settled down, getting second period goals from Paul Kelly and David-Alexandre Beauregard to cut the deficit in half. But Scott Polaski and Fraser Filipic tallied in the third period to round out the scoring for Colorado. The Oilers visit the Rocky Mountain Rage on Friday night and Mississippi RiverKings Tuesday, before their home opener against the Oklahoma City Blazers Friday November 2nd at 7:35 p.m. For tickets call the Oilers at 918-632-7825. |
