Oilers Fall, 6-2

Three goals in a little over a minute early in the second period led the Colorado Eagles to a 6-2 win over the Tulsa Oilers Wednesday night in Colorado.

Chris Hartsburg had the only goal of the first period, but Colorado pushed its lead to 4-0 when Ed Magrane, Hartsburg and Steve Haddon all scored in the first 2:10 of the second period.

Oilers coach Butch Kaebel called his time out and the Oilers settled down, getting second period goals from Paul Kelly and David-Alexandre Beauregard to cut the deficit in half.

But Scott Polaski and Fraser Filipic tallied in the third period to round out the scoring for Colorado.
