Unbeaten Oilers Head To Rocky Mountains
To the Rockies: The Tulsa Oilers continue their four game road swing to start the season heading to the Rocky Mountain State for a pair of games. They will take on the Colorado Eagles Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. and will visit the Rocky Mountain Rage Friday at 8:05 p.m. (times are listed in Central time). Both games can be heard on KRVT AM 1270. Good Start: A goal by Paul Kelly in the final half minute of regulation time lifted the Oilers to a 3-2 win at Amarillo Friday night. Brendon Hodge scored the Oilers first goal of the season, on a power play, and Kai Magnussen scored his first pro goal in the game. Watch It: Wednesday’s game from Colorado will be televised at an Oilers watch party held at SoCo’s Sports Bar & Grill, located at 81st and Harvard. Note the game time has been moved to 8:30 p.m. Tulsa time to accommodate pregame ceremonies in Colorado. Special Stuff: The Oilers went 1-for-4 on the power play and killed all six Amarillo power play opportunities in the game. With a goals against average of 2.00, Tulsa has the best goals against average in the league after the opening weekend of play. Alumni Stuff: Several former Oilers will be recognized prior to the team’s first home game this season. Details will be announced as players are confirmed. Home Opener: The 2007-08 version of the Oilers will be unveiled to fans at the Tulsa Convention Center on Friday November 2nd against the Oklahoma City Blazers at 7:35 p.m. Tickets Here: Oiler 2007-08 season tickets are available by calling the Oilers at (918) 632-7825.
