 The Tulsa Oilers dropped their season finale to the Mississippi RiverKings Saturday night, 5-2 in Mississippi. The loss leaves the the Oilers with a final record of 28-29-7 for 63 points in sixth place in the Northern Conference and out of the playoffs.
 
Bobby Chaumont and Louis Dumont gave Mississippi a 2-0 lead with goals just 48 seconds apart in the first seven minutes of the game. Derek Eastman cut the lead to 2-1 before the period ended.
 
The second period mirrored the first with Derek Landmesser, and Ken Davis stretching the Mississippi lead to 4-1. David Alexandre Beauregard got the Oilers back within two just 47 seconds later.
 
Mississippi’s Ryan Held had the only goal of the third period with just 2:03 left to play.
