Jake Riddle’s Hat Trick Helps Oilers Silence Thunder, 5-1

Jake Riddle’s first professional hat trick sparked the Tulsa Oilers to a 5-1 win at Wichita Wednesday night.
 
Dan Riedel and Travis Banga had the other goals for the Oilers, who also got a 30 save performance in goal from Marty Magers. The win moves the Oilers one point ahead of the Missouri Mavericks for fifth place, and the final playoff spot in the Central Hockey League’s Northern Conference. The Oilers are also now within two points of fourth place Mississippi.
 
Kevin Cooper had Wichita’s only goal on its lone power play of the game. The Oilers were 2-for-5 on the power play.
 
The Oilers next game is Friday night at Missouri at 7:05.
