Oilers Rally For 6-5 Win
Michel Beausoleil’s two goals and three assist performance complimented a 53 save performance by Guy St. Vincent, giving the Tulsa Oilers a rousing 6-5 come from behind victory over the Colorado Eagles Saturday night at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland, Colorado.
The win is the Oilers first road victory of the season, and also Colorado’s first home ice loss.
Colorado had taken a 4-1 lead by the five minute mark in the second, period on a pair of goals by Ryan Tobler, and single markers from Brett Hammond and Ed Magrane. But Kelly Sickavish, Jake Riddle, and Brendon Hodge were able to bring the Oilers even by the end of the second period.
Kevin Ulanski scored a power play goal with 7:36 left to play, but Riddle’s second goal of the night just a minute and a half later set the stage for a dramatic final six minutes. Beausoleil ripped home his second goal with 2:25 left to play, and St. Vincent and the rest of the Oilers held off a frantic rally by Colorado.
The Oilers visit Mississippi Tuesday and return home against Mississippi on Friday November 21.
