Oilers Flat In 4-2 Loss

The Tulsa Oilers lost 4-2 to the Wichita Thunder Tuesday at the BOK Center. Although the Oilers lead the season series with Wichita with six wins and three losses, it is the second straight time Wichita has triumphed in Tulsa. Three of Wichita’s five wins have been against the Oilers.

Brothers Troy and Jake Riddle scored for the Oilers. Paul Kelly opened the scoring for Wichita and assisted on each of Kevin Cooper’s two goals. Steve Makway cemented the win with an empty net goal with 16 seconds left.

The loss drops the Oilers into sixth place of the CHL’s Northern Conference, one point behind Missouri, although the Oilers have played two less games. They haveĀ  a two game series at Missouri Friday and Saturday with each game at 7:05, and each can be heard via the internet at www.tulsaoilers.com.
