Oilers Beat Rush 3-2

Brendon Hodge’s power play goal with 8:09 left in the third period snapped a 2-2 tie and lifted the Tulsa Oilers to a 3-2 win over the Rapid City Rush Saturday night.

The win ended a five game winless streak for the Oilers. Bobby Reed opened the scoring for Tulsa just 1:54 into the game, snapping a wrist shot through the legs of Lanny Ramage. Rapid City answered back on goals by Blaine Jarvis and Jon Pelle. But just 26 seconds after Pelle’s goal, Jeff Christian tied it for the Oilers.

It stayed that way until Hodge’s goal. The Oilers will play their next game and first game under head Tony Martino Tuesday against the Texas Brahmas at the BOK Center at 7:05 p.m.
