No Playoffs For Oilers
In spite of having the most wins in four seasons, and still with three games to play, the Tulsa Oilers have been eliminated from playoff consideration this season. The Missouri Mavericks defeated the Wichita Thunder 5-2 on Sunday to clinch the fifth and final playoff spot in the Central Hockey League’s North Conference.
The Oilers have 28 wins and have the potential to be tied with Missouri in points and victories. However Missouri won the head to head season series with the Oilers. The Oilers were 4-3-2 against Missouri, while Missouri was 5-2-2 against Tulsa.
Tulsa plays its final three games on the road, starting with a game at Bossier-Shreveport on Thursday at 7:05 p.m. The season will end with a pair of games at Mississippi on Friday and Saturday at 7:05 each night.
