Hisey Leads CHL All-Star Votes
Center Rob Hisey of the Tulsa Oilers, who’s 19 goals leads the Central Hockey League,
is also the top vote getter for Team CHL in this year’s Laredo Energy CHL All Star Game to be played Wednesday January 13 at the Laredo Entertainment Center.
Hisey, who is currently on call up to the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League, earned 30 of a possible 43 votes (70% of the ballots) in voting conducted among CHL coaches, communication staffs, and media members. He will be one of the starters for the CHL team that will take on the all-stars of the south Texas team comprised of Laredo Bucks, Corpus Christi IceRays and Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees.
Along with Hisey, the remaining starters for Team CHL will be forwards Riley Nelson (Colorado Eagles), and Justin Bowers (Allen Americans); defensemen Alex Dunn (Odessa Jackalopes) and Aaron Schneekloth (Colorado); and goaltender Joel Martin (Odessa).
The Oilers also announced the make up date for the game with the Wichita Thunder from Christmas night will be Tuesday February 2nd at 7:05 p.m. at the BOK Center. Fans with tickets of the December 25th game, can exchange those tickets for the February 2nd game, or any other game for the rest of the regular season.
