Busy, Busy:    The Tulsa Oilers have four games this week, with three at home. They host the Missouri Mavericks Tuesday at 7:05 p.m.; host the Colorado Eagles Friday at 7:35 p.m.; host the Mississippi RiverKings Saturday. The Oilers visit the Texas Brahmas Sunday at 4:05 p.m.

On Track:    After dropping a 4-1 decision to Wichita on Friday night, the Oilers ended a two game losing streak with a 2-1 win in Wichita on Saturday, in the first hockey game played in Wichita’s new INTRUST Bank Arena. The Oilers then beat Rio Grande Valley 2-1 in a shootout.

Deja vu:    Sunday’s win was the second game this season the Oilers had beaten Rio Grande Valley, with both scores being 2-1 in a shootout. In each game, the Oilers regulation goal was scored by a defenseman (Derek Merlini on November 29 and Sean Erickson on Sunday).

Yes He Cann:    Goaltender Trevor Cann turned in three strong goaltending performances this week stopping 71 of the 76 shots he faced, including all three shootout attempts by Rio Grande Valley. For the week he had a 1.62 goals against average and a .932 save percentage.

Now the Tops: T.J. Caig had a goal and assist last week to take over the team scoring lead. He now has 16 goals and 26 assists for 42 points while playing in all 36 Oiler games.

Pink In Rink:    In Saturday’s game the Oilers will be raising funds and awareness for breast cancer research. They will be wearing special jerseys which will be auctioned after the game for the benefit of Komen Tulsa.
