Caig Scores All-Star Goal
Tulsa Oilers right wing T.J. Caig scored a goal for the Central Hockey League all-stars but it wasn’t enough as the CHL team lost to a team of South Texas all-stars 9-4 in the CHL All-Star Game presented by Laredo Energy in Laredo, Texas, Wednesday night.
South Texas (comprised of players from the Laredo Bucks, Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees and Corpus Christi IceRays) blew the game open with five goals in the third period. Caig scored the third goal for the CHL all-stars, which made the score 7-3.
Caig also had the only penalty of the game, called for tripping in the third period. South Texas scored on the powerplay, but Caig atoned, when he scored 2:34 later.
