Tulsa Oiler hockey players are the epitome of health and fitness and will help spread that message to kids on Saturday.
    Members of the Oilers and the Oilers Ice Girls will be on hand for the Family Fun Fair Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The fun Fair takes place at Christview Christian Church, 2525 South Garnett Road.
    “In our efforts to get involved in the community we always place a high priority on health events and kids events, and this one is a good combination,” Oilers general manager Taylor Hall said.
    The Fun Fair will feature free immunizations, safe kids car seat checks, a bike rodeo, free vision, dental, hearing developmental speech screenings and more. There will also be fire safety information, face painting for kids, free refreshments, giveaways door prizes, and more.
    Fans are encouraged to visit the Oilers and Ice Girls and bring their cameras to take photos.
    The Oilers had the second highest point total increase in the CHL this season under head coach Bruce Ramsay, who was in his first season with the Oilers. They will have 32 home games at the BOK Center in the 2010-11 season.
    Season tickets for 2010-11 with plans for as low as $26 a month are now available by calling the Oilers office at 918-632-PUCK (7825).
