TULSA, OK – The Tulsa Oilers are looking for talented, energetic ladies to become Oilers Ice Girls for the 2012-13 hockey season.

Open auditions for this year’s Ice Girls squad will be held August 3^rd and 4^th.

On Friday the 3^rd, an open practice will be held from 7:30-9:00 p.m. at Gold’s Gym in Broken Arrow (2360 W. Kenosha St.).  The cost is $10 for this optional practice which gives all participants a chance to familiarize themselves with the tryout dance.

Saturday the 4^th, the skating and interview portion of the auditions will be held at the Oilers Ice Center (6413 S. Mingo Rd.).  A $20 fee is due at registration which takes place from 11:30 a.m-12:00 p.m. with interviews being conducted from 12:00-1:00 p.m.

After interviews are concluded, the auditions shift back to Gold’s Gym for dance tryouts from 1:30-4:00 p.m.  Girls will be tested on several skills such as dance ability, technique, flexibility, retention, interaction, and energy.

The Ice Girls perform at every Oilers home game throughout the season and also make public appearances at team events in order to help promote the Oilers around the Tulsa area.  The Oilers need Ice Girls who are out-going, enthusiastic, and able to share their passion for the team with fans and sponsors.
