Big Week Ahead

Showdowns:      The Tulsa Oilers, holding down first place in the Central Hockey League’s Northern Conference will take on the second place and third place teams this week.  The Oilers host second place Colorado Tuesday at the BOK Center at 7:05 p.m. and visit third place Rapid City Friday and Saturday with both games starting at 8:05 p.m. central time.  All games can be heard on 

One Across:    The Oilers hit all three columns in the standings last week. They suffered their first overtime/shootout loss of the season in a 5-4 shootout loss to Missouri on Thursday, defeated Texas 6-2 on Friday, and then dropped a rematch to Texas, 3-1 on Sunday.

Hot Trio:    Aaron Davis, T.J. Caig, and Mike Beausoleil have been a red hot line for the Oilers.     Davis had the Oilers lone goal Sunday, giving him goals in four straight games and points in eight of the last nine (6G, 8A); Caig recently had a 10 game point streak end and has since had points in four straight games giving him 29 points (12 G, 17A) in 14 of the last 15 games; Beausoleil had a six game point streak end on Sunday, in which he had seven points (4G, 3A).

Short Stop:    Rob Hisey added to his league leading point total with two shorthanded goals last week. Hisey has 13 goals and 19 assists for 32 points. He also now leads the CHL with three shorthanded goals.

No Loss:    Tulsa remains the only team in the CHL without a regulation loss on home ice. The Oilers are 8-0-1 at the BOK Center this season.
