Butler, Beausoleil Answer Call For MDA

Telethon

While preparing to raise the curtain the 2009-10 Central Hockey League season, Tulsa Oiler players Tyler Butler and Mike Beausoleil helped the Muscular Dystrophy Association raise more than three quarter of a million dollars during the annual Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon.
Butler, the Oilers player assistant coach, and Beausoleil were the only two players from a Tulsa professional sports team that answered phones during the telethon. They were joined by head coach Bruce Ramsay and team broadcaster Steve McCall.
“It was really great to meet so many people who are working to help so many others,” Ramsay said. “When you hear some of the stories and battles these kids and families are fighting, it really puts things in perspective.”

With the Oilers help, the annual Tulsa MDA telethon raised $797,184, and more than $60 million nationally.
The Oilers start the CHL regular season on Friday October 16^th  at Mississippi. The home opener for the Oilers in their 18^th  CHL season will be Saturday October 24^th  at 7:35 against the Wichita Thunder.

Season tickets for the Oilers 2009-10 season in the BOK Center are available by calling the Oilers at (918) 632-PUCK (7825).
